A surprise within a surprise: Mitchel & Gillian’s Proposal in Valencia
When Mitchel contacted me to plan his proposal to Gillian in Valencia, he already had something special in mind.
He didn't just want to surprise her with a proposal.
He wanted to surprise her one more time.
A secret guest
Mitchel had secretly arranged for Gillian’s best friend to fly to Valencia and be there for the proposal.
But Gillian had absolutely no idea.
On the day of the proposal, her best friend was hidden nearby, actually in the bushes! 😂 From there she could watch the whole thing without being seen.
She saw Mitchel propose.
She saw Gillian say yes.
And then she waited for her moment.
The surprise after the proposal
After the proposal, we continued with a photo shoot by Home - Lavian Rose
Gillian thought the big surprise was over.
But then, during the shoot, her best friend suddenly appeared.
The look on Gillian’s face said everything. 🥹
She had no idea that one of her favourite people was secretly in Valencia, watching her get engaged and waiting to celebrate with her.
And suddenly, the proposal became a surprise within a surprise.
It's the personal details that matter
This is exactly what I love about planning proposals.
It isn't always about the biggest setup or the most impressive location.
It's about making the moment personal.
Mitchel knew how much his girlfriend’s best friend meant to her, so having her there made the proposal even more special.
And that's what makes every proposal different.
Maybe it's a favourite location, a special song, beautiful flowers or, in this case, a best friend hiding in the bushes. 😂
