But how far in advance should you actually start planning your marriage proposal in Valencia?
Ideally, give yourself a few weeks, but don’t panic if you have less time.
Of course, every proposal is different, and we can sometimes arrange something at shorter notice. But if you want everything to be just right, giving yourself a little extra time is definitely worthwhile.
And yes, we know from experience that sometimes you don’t have weeks! We once organised an entire wedding in just four weeks. So while we recommend planning ahead, it’s definitely possible to create something special at short notice.
Why plan your proposal in advance?

From finding the perfect location and choosing the right time of day to arranging flowers, decorations, a romantic picnic or a photographer, there are plenty of things to consider — especially if you want to keep the whole thing a surprise.

4–8 weeks before: start with the big picture
This is a great time to think about the kind of proposal you have in mind.
Ask yourself:
Where would you like to propose?
Would you prefer a private or more public setting?
Are you imagining a romantic picnic, a beach proposal or something completely different?
Would you like photography or video?
Do you want flowers, candles, champagne or other decorations?
What would make the moment feel personal to your relationship?

A few days before: final checks
By this point, everything should be in place.

And while you might feel nervous - completely normal! - you won’t have to worry about the details.
